450501CH Modern Dance II CP Description: Students will expand their knowledge of Modern Dance techniques. They will also learn improvisational techniques leading into a choreographic showcase.
459990CH Ballet I CP Description: Ballet 1 is an introduction to Ballet dance for students who have had less than 2 years of ballet training. By the end of this class students will have learned the history of ballet and famous ballets, as well as choreographer and performers of ballet. Stndets will also learn basic ballet movements with the focus on balance, body alignment, and body awareness.
459992CH Ballet II CP Description: Ballet 2 is for students with 2-4 years of ballet training or students who have completed Ballet 1 at APA Academy. Students will increase their knowledge of ballet movements. They will also focus on learning more complex combinations, quickness, and practicing correct technique.
459993CH Ballet III CP Description: Ballet 3 is for students who have taken more than 4 years of ballet training or who have completed Ballet 2 at APA Academy. Female students will be introduced to Pointe work. Males will be introduced to partnering. By the end of this class students will have significant knowledge of ballet steps and perform appropriate technique. Students will be able to correct themselves. They will also focus on memorization of ballet works.
459995CH Intro Tap/Jazz Description: Students will learn basic tap and jazz movements that were popular during specific periods of American History. Students will need appropriate tap and jazz footwear. |
